When I came up everybody had a muscle car. We raced our cars
at the Cypress Freeway at 880 and at the Frontage road at the Coliseum before
there even was a Coliseum. Pink slips were the order of the day. At that time
you could buy a fat ride, off the showroom floor, for $3-$4,000. Sure is
different now - no real power and no real design!
Before my Goat I had a ‘69 Dodge Dart GTS 340. After the
military cam a ‘70 Camaro. I finally was able to afford the real muscle car -
a 1967 GTO convertible. I searched all up and down the coast and finally found
the perfect one right here at home. My ‘67 is my choice of the best GTO of all
time.
